Presentation: 'It’s a Cloud, not a Closet'
The Cloud: a tool to skyrocket your company into the next digital, AI and IOT generation. Add ‘DevOps’ to this sentence and you have about 99% of todays IT conference-topics covered. And still, many companies use the Cloud as a static and passive tool; a closet in which you store all your stuff. However, when you take advantage of the Cloud, it becomes a platform that will help you develop, innovate and accelerate your time to market. Just as Cloud, DevOps is not something you implement in one day. It’s a huge transformation, which takes a lot of time and everybody’s commitment. So, let’s forget the buzzwords and the fuzzy theory and look at how to put Cloud into practice.
Apart from being a very passionate presenter, Erik speaks from over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. After building his knowledge at Microsoft, Oracle, British Telecom and Cap Gemini, Erik joined Red Hat in 2014. His no-nonsense and hands-on approach will guarantee you lots of useful insights, tips and tools that you can leverage to your own digital journey.

'The end of the world as we know it? How to tackle security risks in Internet of Things'
The Internet of Things or IoT has been widely publicised by the media over recent years. The integration of IT, OT and IoT poses unique challenges to security leaders. Ranging from email spamming fridges to the end of the world as we know it. The reality is, we face a situation where some devices are becoming internet enabled just because they can. At the same time, we adopt internet devices with little thought of our data, because they offer accessing something in a way that makes it easier for us. So how will we deal with the "Internet of Threats"?
A graduate of the KU Leuven, Stefaan holds a Master degree in Computer Science and an MBA. Stefaan has 28 years of experience in the IT industry, 18 of which in Security. Stefaan has held numerous senior, pan-European positions with global ICT companies including Symantec, Verizon, Unisys and Getronics. As Dimension Data's European Director for Security, one of Stefaan's key focus areas is to translate the technology, people and process elements of our cybersecurity solutions into tangible business value. This outcomes-focused approach puts his services in high demand among Dimension Data's strategic global clients. It's time to start winning the war: Offensive defense strategies, kicking ass on your own turf.
Tired of chasing bad guys after an incident? Curious to see how to make a hacker cry those fabled unicorn rainbow tears whilst he's trying to make sense of it all? In this presentation we'll discuss topics like how to apply tsun tzu's good old fashioned art of war to the field of cybersecurity, because that's what it is: A war. Not just any war, but one that the defensive side has been losing over and over again. But no longer, it's payback time!
Pieter likes to "hack all the things", during his dayjob at Nynox he does plenty of that. Next to that you may find this rare pokemon during community events such as BruCON, OWASP and others.
